Brazil Project - Open Events / Ascot Lawyers Foundation
16 May 2015 to 25 May 2015  Just Events

On this charity school project we will work to restore and extend a school in the remote town of Teresina, located 110km from Alto Paraiso. EMA School is one of the most important schools in the Kalunga Historical Site, with around 60 students aged between 4 and 14 years in attendance.

Beyond the age of 14, students have to leave the community to study in Teresina de Goias, some 40km away. As a result many do not complete their studies and those that do rarely return to the community where they grew up. The aim of this project is therefore to construct 2 new classrooms, to allow the older children to finish their education within the community. The existing school buildings also desperately need renovation.

London to Paris Cycle Ride 2015
03 June 2015 to 07 June 2015  Just Events

Get 20% off the registration fee by entering the code BIKE20 until the 30th April 2014

London to Paris is a classic iconic cycling journey and a great challenge that has to be on everyone's list to tick off. Across the Divide have been running London to Paris bike rides for six years, we have a well established route, and an experienced team which means you will be in safe hands from start to finish.

Our four day journey begins in Blackheath before heading out of London and into the rolling Kent countryside to Dover and we cross the ferry that night to Calais. Once French side the next three days of cycling take us through the rural landscape of Northern France through some beautiful and varied scenery including passing some famous battlefields of the Somme and Agincourt with overnight stops at Arras and Compiegne. After covering nearly 300 miles of cycling we finish our challenge at the foot of the Eiffel Tower in the heart of Paris, before celebrating our achievements over dinner. An overnight stay in Paris and a morning to explore the city before catching the Eurostar back to London.
