Individual Travellers - "take the trip of a lifetime and help the charity of your choice"

Going on an overseas charity challenge event will be an experience of a lifetime. You get to visit an amazing country and at the same time raise funds for your chosen charity.

You will not be alone!

Most of the participants on our trips will be travelling alone so it won't take you long to make some friends. Your group will have experienced guides, an expedition leader and a doctor to help you along the way. There will always be a guide at the back of the group so no-one will be walking alone.

See opposite - Read all about it! Here you can read all about past participants' experiences on charity challenges, from dog sledding, to China; from Peru to Morocco.

Raise much needed funds for charity...

You can choose to raise money with any of charities we work with (these can all be found on the quick search facility at the top of this page) or you can join an 'Open Event' and raise money for a charity of your choice. Our Open Events are ideal if you want to raise funds for a smaller charity who are not able to put on their own exclusive event.

Open Events are designed to be physically and mentally challenging. Facilities can be basic and locations often remote. With Across the Divide’s experience back up teams however, anyone who takes the time to train will be able to experience of a lifetime and the thrill of adventure. Join one of our Open Events and raise funds for the charity of your choice.

The trip itself went like clockwork and was everything I had hoped for and more. We really did change lives on this trip as well as raising over £50k for our charity. Ken Anderson, from One 4 Kids

But don't just take our word for it…

'Just a quick email to say I'm back in the office today and it was a wonderful (but very tough) hike!  Rob & Andy were absolutely brilliant and with a 100% success rate everyone was delighted.  We couldn't have asked for better. Jennifer Donovan, Fundraising Office, Dublin Simon Community. Kilimanjaro, March 2008.

'A huge thanks to all the ATD team. I was nervous and a bit anxious about the trek as I didn't know anyone else going. But I can safely say I've made some life-long friends. A great trip and I'd recommend ATD to anyone. Kathryn, Peru trekker, November 2007.
