Sahara Desert trek - UNICEF06 November 2010 to 14 November 2010 Charity Events
Our trek route has been designed to allow our participations to experience as much as possible of the varied landscape of the Sahara, and oases fringed with date palms and acacia. It takes us well away from the established travel routes along a trade route still used by the nomadic Berber and Toureg tribesmen, whom we will hope to encounter during our journey.

Dog Sledding in the Arctic Circle - Rangers Charity Foundation21 February 2011 to 27 February 2011 Charity Events
Challenge participants each have their own dog sled pulled by a team of 4-6 huskies, looking after each other and becoming a powerful unit by the end of the fundraising dog sled challenge. Dog sledding over 200 kilometres from our base camp into the wilds of the most northern European country of Norway, this event proves to be the charity challenge of a lifetime for many participants.
Kilimanjaro trek - Oxfam Ireland26 February 2011 to 08 March 2011 Charity Events
Our fundraising adventure takes us to the remote north-eastern side of Kilimanjaro, and follows the Rongai Trail. Above all other walking routes, Rongai retains a true sense of wilderness. The benefits of the route are that there are usually less hikers (usually one-tenth that of Machame) and it is generally considered to be one of the easiest of the quality routes on Kilimanjaro.

Participants each have their own dog sled pulled by a team of 4-6 huskies, looking after each other and becoming a powerful unit by the end of the charity challenge. The nature of the adventure means that it is run with a relatively small number of participants (13 maximum). Team members are expected to feed, harness and look after their dogs for the entire trip. An ATD expedition leader, supported by an experienced expedition doctor and a local Norwegian guide, will head up the charity expedition.
