Brazil School Project - Bobby Moore Fund14 September 2012 to 23 September 2012 Charity Events
On this project we will work in partnership with the local population to construct a new school in the remote farming community of Corrente, which is located 180km from Brasilia. The original school building collapsed in 2008, and since then lessons have been held in a small house with limited facilities. This region desperately needs a dedicated school building, and the construction of a new school with 2 classrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom will allow up to 70 students to be taught in Corrente. Our work will enable local children to be educated within the community rather than having to move away or travel the 28km into town each day to attend school there.

At 5,895 metres, Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak is one of the most magnificent sights in Africa. Our trek takes you to the remote north-eastern side of Kilimanjaro and follows the Rongai Route to the summit.
Rongai retains a true sense of wilderness: there are few fewer trekkers than on other trails (usually one-tenth of the number that take the Marangu Route) and it is generally considered to offer some of the best opportunities for acclimatisation.

Sahara Desert Trek 2012.03 November 2012 to 10 November 2012 Just Events
A wonderful trek into the heart of the Sahara: the second largest desert in the world and one of the last great areas of wilderness. One of the hottest, driest (and sandiest!) places on Earth, the Sahara Desert covers an area larger than the entire United States, and trekking through this vast sea of sand is a truly unique experience.
Our trek follows an old trade route still used by nomadic Berber tribesmen and their camel caravans, and takes us over vast sand dunes, along dried-up riverbeds, across rocky plateaux and through idyllic oases. We will camp in traditional Berber tents in this remarkable vast and varied landscape, and have the opportunity for some star-gazing at night.
