Brazil Project - Just Events / Ascot Lawyers Foundation03 October 2013 to 12 October 2013 Just Events
On this charity school project we will work to restore and extend a school in the remote town of Teresina, located 110km from Alto Paraiso. EMA School is one of the most important schools in the Kalunga Historical Site, with around 60 students aged between 4 and 14 years in attendance.
Beyond the age of 14, students have to leave the community to study in Teresina de Goias, some 40km away. As a result many do not complete their studies and those that do rarely return to the community where they grew up. The aim of this project is therefore to construct 2 new classrooms, to allow the older children to finish their education within the community. The existing school buildings also desperately need renovation.

Sahara Desert Trek 201317 November 2013 to 24 November 2013 Just Events
A wonderful trek into the heart of the Sahara: the second largest desert in the world and one of the last great areas of wilderness. One of the hottest, driest (and sandiest!) places on Earth, the Sahara Desert covers an area larger than the entire United States, and trekking through this vast sea of sand is a truly unique experience.
Our trek follows an old trade route still used by nomadic Berber tribesmen and their camel caravans, and takes us over vast sand dunes, along dried-up riverbeds, across rocky plateaux and through idyllic oases. We will camp in traditional Berber tents in this remarkable vast and varied landscape, and have the opportunity for some star-gazing at night.
Trek to Angkor Wat 201323 November 2013 to 03 December 2013 Just Events
Our trek to Angkor Wat offers the opportunity to be among the first generation of westerners to rediscover this exciting country, after the ravages of civil war and the excesses of the Pol Pot regime placed it off the travellers’ map for several decades. As well as venturing off the beaten track into magnificent countryside, we will have a full day to explore the splendour of the Khmer temples at Angkor. The people of Cambodia are extremely welcoming and we will spend several nights in homestays over the course of the trek.
