18 April 2010
Sunday 18th April sees the 4th SPW Triathlon in Hyde Park, the venue for the 2012 Olympic Triathlon. This is a sprint triathlon which involves:
- 400m open water swim in the serpentine
- 15km cycle on South Carriage Drive
- 5km run through Hyde Park
More Information
The triathlon aims to raise vital funds to support Student Partnership Worldwide life saving work. To that end, competitors are asked to fundraise to take part in the race - for which they will be fully supported by SPW.
Catering, banners, live music and photography will all be part of the event! The 2010 SPW Hyde Park Triathlon promises to be challenging, adrenaline-filled and fun for all involved! Friends and family are very welcome to come along to cheer you on – the more the merrier!
The band will once again be providing live music at the finish area to cheer you home on the finishing straight – back by popular demand from last year’s event! With their engaging mix of blues and soul, the band will be playing new material and the old favourites for all you friends and family to dance along to!
Race Distances
The triathlon will be run as 2 separate competitions and you are free to enter whichever most appeals:
- The individual competition – open to anyone who wishes to compete in all 3 phases
- The team competition – teams of 3 where 1 person undertakes each leg of the race. Work team, friends –whatever takes your fancy!
You will need to book this trip directly SPW
