Sahara Desert trek - UNICEF. Morocco
06 November 2010 to 14 November 2010
Our trek route has been designed to allow our participations to experience as much as possible of the varied landscape of the Sahara, and oases fringed with date palms and acacia. It takes us well away from the established travel routes along a trade route still used by the nomadic Berber and Toureg tribesmen, whom we will hope to encounter during our journey.
More Information
The Sahara desert remains one of the last true areas of wilderness and trekking through this vast sea of sand and rock is a truly unique experience. One of the hottest, driest and most inhospitable places on earth the Sahara covers a vast area that is larger than the entire United States. This adventure will allow you to discover a landscape of awe-inspiring beauty, from the great sand dunes to the arid, boulder strewn plains where ceaseless winds and furious sandstorms have whittled the rock into bizarre sculptures. There are high rocky plateaux, dried up riverbeds, oases fringed with the date palms and acacia, shadowy canyons and mountains touched with snow.

Testimonials
Thank-you Across the Divide for an amazing experience. The level of organisation that had clearly gone into our trip was matched by the dedication of the ground team. We felt truly cared for by the Moroccan and UK teams, dealt with every eventuality calmly and creatively. I am going home grateful that I have been able to achieve so much with the help of ATD. This had been really life-enhancing. Thank you so much.
I wouldn’t change anything about this charity trip, it has taught me so much and I’m truly inspired by it and the great people I now call my friends. I have learnt so much about myself as well as life.
