Suggested Event: Trekking volcanoes and hot springs on an Iceland Trek
Thanks.
I have just returned from the Trek China walk 10 – 18th October 2009. Paul & Brummie were our 2 fantastic (ATD) guides. I would love the oppertunity to trek with both these highly motivational guys again. This trip really grabs my imagination due to the 2 modes of treking in such a beautiful country.
Love the new site !!!!
Like the look of the Trek and Raft Challenge. A brilliant way to explore an unknown country!
I vote for “Dog sledding and snowmobiling during an Extreme Arctic Experience in Norway.”
the vote I would like to place would be for the Icelandic Volcanoes challenge ! I feel it encompasses the very spirit of all terrain and multi challenging
I have previously been on one of your open events. I thought it was excellent! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience however it gives you the passion to want to do it all again.
The trekking volcanoes in Iceland sounds amazing, something I have always wanted to do. Who knows what the future brings, I maybe signing up again. The new site looks great and I have always recommended ATD to friends and family that want to experience something out of the norm. A trusted and professional company.

Costa Rica Trek and Raft Charity Challenge catiaviting, engaging, exhilarating, enlightening, rewarding !!!!!!!!!! IM IN……….
Took part in the Great Wall of China event last March-managed to raise approx £5,500,00 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and had a great time with some really interesting people.
Would love to do the Charity Dog Sledding,if only to spend some time with working dogs instead of the three handsome but indolent and useless retrievers we have at home!
I had an amazing time on the Borneo Summit to Sea Challenge with an amazing bunch of people and a fantastic ATD Team (Mark, Amy and James!). I couldn’t have done it without them! In total we all raised over £120,000 for the Prince’s Trust. A fantastic experience and all for a good cause!
The new challenges look spectacular – Really like the look of the volcano trek. Just check out the scenery!
Happy New Year to Mark, Karen and all at ATD!!
I haven’t been with you for far too long and really miss the spirit of adventure, challenge, freedom and friendship.
If you have not been on an ATD Event, you should go – they can (and do) change your life.
If you have, you know exactly what I mean!
What appeals to me? The Iceland Volcano Trek – for me it ‘ticks all the boxes’!
Thank you ATD for all my past experiences: Sahara (in the rain!), Namibia (in the blazing sun!), China, Ecuador, Brazil, New Zealand….
I hope to be with you again very soon!
Best wishes,
Nige.
Trek & Raft Challenge in Costa Rica. Sounds good to me.
Completed Vietnam Trek in Nov. 09 with 49 others from S A Hospice, Newry, Northern Ireland. It was a fantasic experience.
Good luck to everyone who enters.
I also like Steve above, took part with the PDS Trek China 2009 with ATD, I would like to commend the expedition leaders Paul & Brummie for outstanding effort & being there 24/7 & as Steve ha said I would also love to trek with them again. The guys were very professional in their whole approach & would have fitted in perfectly within my old Airborn Regiment. The ATD Doctor Claire was very understanding – with the ability to be in the right place to give support at the right time. Being a PD Sufferer this will be a real personal challenge & add to my portfolio of charity events – the others were
• British Heart Foundation – London to Briton bike ride (7 times)
• AFF Skydive jumping from 13,000 feet & when you exit the plane you are assisted by two AFF instructors who stabilize you whilst freefalling. In a nut shell you jump out a plane & are shown how to freefall on the way down.
• As mentioned above Trek China with PDS / ATD
As a single parent still supporting my son (training in joinery and woodworking), grandparent and full time working woman running my own very small PR consultancy I seek opportunities to explore new lands, relax by physically challenging myself, and give something back to others less fortunate when I am able to take a break from work. I have participated in the Vietnam and Machu Piccu treks, trained for the Clipper Around the World race, trekked the Great Wall of China and walked 60km over a weekend to raise money for Breast Cancer. For each of the charity events, I matched the monies I raised with my own funds and would do so again if I should win. As important as the location/style of challenge is the charity involved and with my own son’s training dependent on bursaries, I believe that the Princes Trust is an incredible charity helping young people in the UK reach their potential. As a result it is the Costa Rica Trek and Raft event I would choose to participate in.
volcanoes and trekking how wonderful i would love it i went to china last year with ATD and it was so wonderful i met some great people and this year i am 2 stone lighter heres hoping xxxxxxx
